This Zetec engine has a TWM induction system. To prevent dirt and debris from entering the engine, an air filter should be installed. The ITG sausage filter comes with a backing plate that must be cut to accomodate the 50mm air flutes. You can see from the photo below that the cutting job was not very precise, but it turned out okay. The backing plate gets sandwiched under the flutes which cover any imperfections. The small hole near the center is for an air temperatur sensor.
