The exhaust exits the body at the collector. The collector bolts to the side pipe which contains the catalytic convertor. A square gasket with four holes is sandwiched between these parts. The unit is very heavy and is supported near the rear wheel on a rubber mount. The collector attaches to the side pipe with four bolts. The proper bolts could not be located, so the unit is held in place with bolts from the passenger seat, for now. Near the center of the photo are three giant ring clamps that will secure a heat sheild.
